Since 2005, Marina Bay has been the heart of Singapore’s New Year’s Eve celebrations, drawing massive crowds on 31 December to welcome the new year with a spectacular midnight countdown and fireworks display. To ensure the success of this iconic event, Pico collaborated closely with the Urban Redevelopment Authority (URA) and multiple government bodies overseeing security and logistics. The result was a well-orchestrated scheme that combined fresh innovations with enhanced existing features across the expansive 3,600,000 sq. m. Marina Bay site.
A key highlight was the seamless integration of partner events and activities spread across Marina Bay and the Civic District, uniting them under the banner of Night Out at Countdown. This allowed visitors to enjoy a wide variety of experiences, from cultural performances to entertainment zones, all contributing to the festive atmosphere. By elevating both scale and coordination, the celebrations transformed Marina Bay into a vibrant stage for unity, joy, and shared anticipation of the year ahead. The event has since remained a defining moment of Singapore’s cultural calendar, embodying progress, community, and celebration.
